Matt is an experienced imaging professional, artist, photographer, world traveler, and proud Athens resident. For decades, he has spent time behind one camera or another, fascinated by the moving and still image. He obtained a degree in Journalism & Video Production from the University of Georgia and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
His personal philosophy reads: Light. Changes. Everything.
No matter if it is ambient or artificial, lighting can dramatically affect the way we see the world around us and Matt has a remarkable understanding of this. This insight is crucial to his ability to create the highest quality of imagery.
His personal projects include a long-standing series of unflinching self-portraits, and several collections of both natural & urban landscapes from his travels abroad. He is inspired by the works of Ansel Adams, Dieter Appelt, Joseph Beuys, and Roland Gérard Barthes.
